OUR MISSION

Formed by a group of friends, the Kidz Horizon Appeal aims to help the less fortunate children in our society who are suffering from chronic or terminal illness. Since 2004, we have been devoting much of our resources to help children with HIV or cancer.

OUR BENEFICIARIES

In Singapore, we have 27 children with AIDS/HIV and the Appeal supports almost all of them. These children are treated at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and each child requires between $800 to $1,800 per month depending on the child’s body weight.

Each year we extend some S$200,000 to these children for their HIV medication. This amount does not include other medication that are required for complications that may arise.

In addition, an average of 17 cancer stricken children receive assistance from us annually. Each child with cancer may require a sum between $3,000 and $25,000 for their therapy, depending on the complexity and severity of the illness.

The funds are administered and disbursed to these children and families through the KK Hospital Health Endowment Fund (http://www.kkh.com.sg/WaystoGivenVolunteer/Donations/KKHEF/).

The Kidz Horizon Appeal seeks your support (http://www.kidzhorizon.org/events.html) to make a difference in these children’s lives. Your gift will be instrumental in enhancing their quality of life.
